It combines the best available skin tightening technology which can be performed with liposuction, if needed. This game-changing treatment uses radiofrequency waves to penetrate the deeper layers of tissue below the skin and well as directly to the skin. Not only are there immediate on-table skin tightening results, there is continued tightening for up to one year as your body amplifies its production of collagen and elastin causing continued skin retraction. A potential candidate should be in overall good health, with a clear understanding of the FaceTite procedure and the recovery requirements. For a successful treatment, Houston FaceTite patients must hold realistic expectations for their final results.
Prior to scheduling a FaceTite procedure, new patients will have a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Gopathi. Patients should expect this visit to last about an hour. Dr. Gopathi will take as much time as needed to get to know your needs and aesthetic goals. As well as perform a comprehensive examination of the facial tissues.
Once the exam is complete, we will explain the FaceTite procedure in detail, including the recovery process and potential complications. Before and after pictures of recent FaceTite patients will be reviewed. After answering any remaining questions, Dr. Gopathi will determine if FaceTite can meet your needs. If so, a personalized treatment plan will be created. Any additional recommendations or techniques, such as Botox or dermal fillers, will be discussed at this time.
FaceTite is performed in a comfortable RISE Med Spa treatment room, generally taking one hour. To begin, a local anesthetic will be applied to the target area. While general anesthesia is not needed, an oral sedative may be administered for optimal comfort. A tumescent anesthetic, made from lidocaine, epinephrine, and saline, will also be injected into the treatment area.
Dr. Gopathi begins the procedure by creating a small, needle-sized incision along the rear of the jawline. From here, the FaceTite Fractora cannula is placed underneath the skin. Meticulously controlled RFAL energy is emitted from a small electrode at the tip of the FaceTite wand, heating specific targets of tissue. The concentrated heat tightens tissue fibers, kick-starting the body’s collagen production. Simultaneously, the liquefied fatty tissue is removed through the small cannula.
As the FaceTite treatment does not require general anesthesia, patients are home resting immediately following. Recovery time is much shorter and easier than that of a conventional facelift or neck lift. Patients should expect the treatment area may be pink or flushed after the session. Mild to moderate swelling can appear after 24 hours, very rarely lasting up to ten days. Small, temporary scabs will form where the skin was punctured. These will generally flake away in about a week. To minimize post-op swelling, a head wrap will need to be worn at all times, for up to three days, then only at night for another two weeks. This way you can go back to work much faster than a regular neck or facelift. It is imperative that sunscreen be worn at all times during the FaceTite recovery, even when exposed to indirect sunlight, such as driving. Work can be resumed whenever you feel up to it.
Following treatment with FaceTite Houston patients can see a dramatic improvement in the skin’s tightness. FaceTite is considered a safe and effective treatment for lax skin and tissue. Side-effects such as bruising, swelling, and discomfort are normally mild. The only possible scarring would be in the tiny insertion sites, but most disappear with time. It’s important to know there will be far less scarring when compared with traditional surgical procedures. More serious risks are rare but may include temporary numbness, infection, and nerve damage.
