Houston Sculptra provider, Dr. Gopathi, will begin the appointment by reviewing your medical history and current medications, followed by a detailed physical examination. She will explain the Sculptra Aesthetic treatment process, recovery requirements, and potential side effects. After carefully reviewing your individual aesthetic goals, Dr. Gopathi will share before/after photographs of her recent Sculptra patients, helping to paint a picture of the potential results. If the injectable is the best option to achieve your desired results, Dr. Gopathi will create a personalized Sculptra treatment plan. For optimal results, ensuring the face continues to look younger for years to come, Dr. Gopathi may suggest pairing Sculptra Aesthetic with other soft tissue fillers (Juvederm, Botox Cosmetic, and a quality skin care regimen).
All Sculptra injections are performed in one of RISE Med Spa’s well-appointed treatment rooms, maximizing comfort and privacy. Each Sculptra session takes about half an hour to one hour. It does require a series of treatments, usually spaced out four to six weeks apart.
The injections are not considered painful, but to ensure patient comfort, Sculptra is premixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic. For those patients who require additional pain relief, Dr. Gopathi can also add a topical numbing cream. Depending on the individual and the specific treatment area, most people will require between one and three Sculptra sessions, spaced three to four weeks apart.
No downtime is required after a Sculptra Aesthetic treatment. Following injections with Sculptra Houston patients are back to their normal schedule the same afternoon. Side-effects of Sculptra are generally mild. Mild bruising, swelling, itching, and redness are common.
