How Should You Prepare for Your FaceTite Procedure?

July 31, 2020

FaceTite is a minimally invasive facelift alternative that tightens skin throughout the face, jawline, and neck without significant downtime. Using radiofrequency (RF) energy, FaceTite penetrates deep into the dermis, stimulating collagen and offering both immediate and long-term results. During the FaceTite procedure, Dr. Ravi makes a small incision along the rear jawline through which the tiny RF-emitting probe can be inserted. This pin-sized incision will likely not leave a scar. There is no need for anesthesia during this procedure as it can be done awake and comfortably.

During your time in our care, we will make sure you are fully prepared to help ensure the most rewarding experience possible.

PREPARING FOR FACETITE

Before your procedure, you will need to stop taking medications, herbs, and supplements that thin the blood. These include analgesic medications such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin, but also supplements like fish oil and Vitamin E. You will also need to avoid any products containing nicotine, including vape pens. Nicotine will cause your blood vessels to narrow and decrease blood flow for healing. It may postpone your recovery and result in unattractive outcomes.

While recovery following the FaceTite procedure is relatively fast, there are some considerations that should be made to help ensure your comfort. Having a trusted adult on hand to help with household and familial obligations will be useful for at least the first 24 hours afterward. Make sure you have a place where you can simply relax and recover. Stock the space with books, streaming options, and other forms of entertainment that will allow you to rest for three to four days after your procedure.

For the first three days following FaceTite, you will need to wear a headwrap at all times to decrease swelling. After this, you will only need to wear the headwrap at night for the next 2 weeks. It is important that you wear your headwrap as instructed to avoid unsatisfactory results.

We will provide you with a list of supplies and medications you will need during recovery. Following our instructions carefully will help ensure the best experience.
