The first treatment of its kind, BodyTite PRO uses radiofrequency assisted liposuction (RFAL) for exceptional body contouring and fat coagulation results in both men and women. This unique radio frequency heat encourages the body’s collagen and elastin production, tightening the skin to restore a youthful figure without the drawbacks of an invasive procedure. BodyTite PRO tightens the skin using innovative radio frequency energy waves, heating multiple layers of tissue underneath the skin as well as external skin to a predetermined, desired temperature.
The dermis, the deeper part of the skin, is packed with collagen and once it reaches the set temperature the existing collagen fibers tighten and contract, immediately improving the skin’s tautness and contour. The tissue remodeling via directional heat and fat coagulation also triggers the body to increase its collagen production, creating additional structure and support over the coming months.
Dr. Gopathi is one of the first providers in Houston to offer the BodyTite PRO, which is only available to board-certified plastic surgeons. The BodyTite PRO utilizes a 40-watt system, which is faster and more powerful when compared to the standard BodyTite technique, which uses a 23-watt system. This means a faster treatment with improved, uniform, and consistent results, plus decreased bruising, swelling, and downtime. During non-surgical body contouring Houston physician Dr. Gopathi will create one or more very small incisions in the target area. Using a small handpiece, one small electrode is placed under the skin, and another larger electrode stays outside the skin. The sandwiched radiofrequency waves are focused together, traveling only to the necessary tissues. Creating a contained thermal field, adipose (fat) tissue is liquefied and then suctioned away. The radiofrequency waves boost the body’s production of collagen, tightening and firming tissue.
New patients should expect their BodyTite PRO consultation to take an hour or more. During this in-depth appointment, Dr. Gopathi will get to know your individual needs and assess the areas of concern.
After discussing your long-term goals and desired results, the surgeon will carefully explain the BodyTite PRO procedure. The ideal BodyTite PRO patient will be in generally good health, yet struggling with lax skin. As the BodyTite procedure is not a substitute for weight loss, potential patients should be close to a healthy body weight. A good candidate for BodyTite will understand the procedure and hold realistic expectations for their final results.
BodyTite sessions are performed in a RISE Med Spa procedure room or at a Houston-area surgery center. BodyTite can be performed by itself or with liposuction (RFAL). Dr. Gopathi will discuss all of your options during the consultation appointment. The length of each BodyTite session will vary, depending on the individual patient and the areas being treated. If only a small area is treated, the procedure may be performed using a local anesthetic. When large areas, multiple locations, or additional techniques are included in the treatment, general anesthesia may be recommended. Patients are back home the same day.
BodyTite requires little downtime. Depending on the extent of treatment and the number of areas addressed, most patients will need one to two days of light activity and rest. Smaller treatment areas require a shorter recovery. Normal activity can be resumed as soon as you are comfortable. Bruising and mild swelling may last for six to twelve weeks. Patients are normally feeling well enough to return to work in two to four days, and some RISE Med Spa patients feel good enough to return to work the following day.
Results from BodyTite can be seen immediately. Over the next twelve months, as the tissue heals and the body’s collagen supply is replenished, the benefits will continue to improve. In most cases, only one BodyTite procedure is needed to achieve the desired change in body contour.
BodyTite is a safe, FDA-approved treatment. Side-effects are mild, but can include tenderness, skin sensitivity, swelling, blisters and bruising. Over the first few days, this soreness will slowly dissipate, although swelling and bruising may last six weeks or more. For most of our Houston non surgical body contouring patients, over-the-counter medications are the only pain medication needed.
Only a few, small incisions are required for the BodyTite procedure, meaning little to no visible scarring. With a built-in safety mechanism, the BodyTite applicator emits an appropriate degree of heat, not causing any damage to the surrounding tissue or skin.

BodyTite PRO is an outpatient procedure, getting patients home the same day. It is common to see some swelling, redness, and tenderness for the first few days, although this should rapidly improve. A surgical compression garment will need to be worn for six weeks, decreasing swelling and enhancing the final body contouring results.
Most patients are feeling good enough to return to work two to four days after their BodyTite PRO session. However, strenuous exercise should be avoided until you are comfortable. Those patients with a physically active job may need to take additional time off from work, or have their duties adjusted until they are fully healed.
