Full tummy tuck surgery involves a larger incision and is ideal for the removal of moderate amounts of skin and fat. During a full tummy tuck, abdominal muscles that have been separated are reattached and the belly button is repositioned.
During a mini-tummy tuck, Dr. Ravi removes excess fat and skin and tightens the abdominal wall. The belly button is not repositioned during a mini tummy tuck, making it best for people who do not require this part of the procedure.
VASER liposuction is included in both types of tummy tuck surgery as needed.
