Enhance Your Proportions with a Breast Augmentation in Houston

There are many reasons why you may choose to increase the size of your breasts with surgery. Some women are looking to increase the size of their breasts to complement the rest of their body and to look more proportionate. Others have experienced physical changes with pregnancy and breastfeeding that have altered their breasts’ appearance. Then there are factors like weight loss, genetics, and the natural aging process that can have an impact on the breasts as well, leading to volume loss over time. Whatever your reason for a breast augmentation, there are a few things to consider when you’re making your decision to undergo this procedure.

More Than Just Cup Size

It’s pretty easy to get caught up in the cup size game. And that’s totally understandable—after all, those numbers tend to be the benchmark of breast size. But it’s a good idea to just forget about the numbers, as they can be a little misleading and there’s more to consider. You’ve probably noticed that different bra manufacturers having different sizing systems; you are likely not the same cup and bra size among different brands like Victoria’s Secret, Soma or Warcol. It’s much better to think about what will look best on your figure, as it’s not just about enhancing your cup size but enhancing your entire frame overall.

Bigger Implants Aren’t Always Better

It’s one thing to want larger breasts. But if you’re feeling like your breasts are too small for your body, you don’t want to overcompensate by making them too big. They can end up looking unnatural, and you could be welcoming a host of physical, emotional, and financial issues. For instance, you may have trouble finding clothes that fit properly. Exercise and being active may become a burden. And then there’s the stress that overly large breasts can put on the rest of your body. Your neck, back, and shoulders may have to work a lot harder to compensate for your new heavy breasts. Again, it’s all about the proper proportion between your breasts and the rest of your body. Dr. Ravi will thoroughly work with you to determine the best fit for your figure based on your goals and lifestyle along with precise measurements taken at your consultation.

More Than Just a Breast Augmentation

Many times, a patient will come in wanting to enlarge their breasts but will need a little more than just breast implants. Their breasts may also benefit from some lifting and tightening of the tissues. That’s where a breast lift with an enhancement will come into play. This combination can work to restore lost volume, particularly in the upper portion of the breasts. The lift can also address nipples that may have started to face downward, as well as areolae that have become misshapen due to sagging and stretched out tissues.

Augmenting Your Confidence

A breast augmentation is of course principally about making the breasts larger. But the underlying motivation that most of our Houston-area augmentation patients really have is to augment their confidence. If you feel like your figure is lacking due to a naturally smaller bust or breasts that have lost volume over time, it can have a negative effect in almost every aspect of your life, especially in those more intimate moments. But Dr. Ravi understands how important it is to feel comfortable in your own body. That’s why he specializes in helping women who want to find or renew their confidence and self-esteem with a breast augmentation.
